The Housematic Story –

Event Agency!
Housematic – an event, a movement, a way of life. Housematic was born in 2004 and remained, without a doubt, the most successful electronic event in the Esslingen region until 2012. The founders in 2004 were Yasar & Nazario. Together, they hosted the very first Housematic event at the Magellan Club in Kirchheim unter Teck. At that time, the Magellan was owned by Yasar’s older brother, Sedat.
Yasar worked there as a Doorman, while Nazario was the resident DJ. One evening in 2004, during a casual conversation, they came up with the idea of organizing an electronic music event. Back then, almost every club and bar in the region played hip-hop, pop, rock, or mixed music. Eventually, Yasar and Nazario convinced Sedat to let them host the first event at the Magellan in Kirchheim unter Teck.
Yasar already had a strong network in Stuttgart’s nightlife scene thanks to his many personal connections. There was no such thing as Flyeralarm or digital printing platforms at that time. Yasar had just started studying graphic design and created the first flyer designs himself, printing them in A4 format using a simple office inkjet printer. He and Nazario personally hung the flyers in well-known boutiques, hair salons, bars, restaurants, gyms, and retail stores throughout the region.
The response was overwhelming – even before the first Housematic event began, more than 100 people were already lined up at the door. The club, with a capacity of only 300 guests, was quickly packed to the max – and Housematic was officially born.
From Kirchheim to the region – and far beyond. What began as a local event quickly evolved into a regional phenomenon. After just a few editions, Housematic had outgrown the Magellan and needed a bigger venue. In the summer of 2004, the event was hosted at Soda Seven in Esslingen for the first time – a location with space for around 1,000 guests. Once again, doors had to be closed early – admission stopped at 11:30 p.m.
From then on, Yasar and Nazario took Housematic on the road, hosting the event in various cities and clubs. Each event became a major success, and attendance numbers continued to rise – reaching up to 3,000 guests per event. After the third Housematic event, we built a dedicated promo team made up of friends, partners, and close supporters. Everyone gave 110% and brought incredible passion to the table. Over time, the team grew into a true family.
We (Yasar & Nazario) turned Housematic – just through its name – into a powerful event brand. Soon, promoters and club owners started to take notice. In the summer of 2007, we organized our first collaboration event with the legendary M1 The Club in Stuttgart (owner: Bubi Schuster) and Patrice Grad from Benztown Artists. It became one of the most successful events in Housematic history: nearly 4,000 guests gathered at P3 The Club in Kirchheim unter Teck. The lineup included Milk & Sugar, Lexy & K-Paul, and several of our own resident DJs. Both the open-air area and the indoor hall were completely packed. Once again, entry had to be stopped by 11:30 p.m.
We kept raising the bar, regularly expanding our lineup beyond our resident DJs (DJ Ricardo, Pablo Suave, and Chris Sonax) by booking some of the most respected and popular DJs of the time. Among them:
Johannes Heil (Cocoon Frankfurt),
SIS aka Burak Sar (Cocoon Frankfurt),
Bodymovin (Michi Beck of Turntablerocker & DJ Friction of Freundeskreis),
Ante Perry,
Savas Pascalidis,
David Phillips (Global Ritmico),
Johannes Brecht (with live band),
Jochen Pash,
Virginia Nascimento,
JCA (Jean Claude Ades),
Daniela Stickroth,
David Puentez,
Ron Davis
and many more well-known DJs and live performers.
2010 – a creative break. After six successful years, Yasar and Nazario decided to take a break.
Housematic remained one of the most influential event series in the Esslingen region – and beyond – until 2012.
